About the Rodals

Rabbi Yossi and Zelda, both raised in families dedicated to serving Jewish communities worldwide as Chabad Shluchim, continue this legacy in their own lives. Rabbi Yossi's journey began in South Africa, where he attended Torah Academy School, while Zelda studied at Beth Rivkah in France.

Seeking further education, Rabbi Yossi traveled to Israel, Baltimore, Toronto, Chicago, and New York, Before getting Smicha from 770 yeshiva and a Bachelor's degree in Rabbinic Studies. Zelda continued her education at Lubavitch girls high school in Chicago, Beit Chana Seminary in Israel, and Crown Heights' Beis Rivkah Division of Higher Learning. She also holds a certificate from the New York Institute of Art and Design.

Their commitment to community service began early. Rabbi Yossi volunteered at South Africa's Friendship Circle, earning Volunteer of the Year recognition in 2014. He has led Seders and events across the US and internationally, and has been a head counselor at various overnight camps. Zelda also volunteered in the Friendship Circle and Hebrew School, leading events as Bnos Chabad Head and developing curriculum used by summer camps worldwide.

Rabbi Yossi and Zelda are passionate about connecting with fellow Jews and creating a warm and caring community. They have a son, Mendel, who brings joy to everyone he meets.
